Audio and Video Processing
- Audio Source: You can pick local audio files.
- Video Source: You can pick local Video files.
- Thumbnails: Video thumbnails may be displayed during playback for visual enhancement but are not saved or reused.
- Retention: Extracted or processed audio remains only on your device and is never uploaded to external servers.
- Sharing: we do not sell your data; we may share recordings with trusted transcription providers or as required by law.
Data Retention
- Playback preferences and recent activity are stored locally on your device for user convenience.
- Temporary data used for audio conversion or thumbnail display is automatically deleted after use.
- No personal or media data is permanently stored on Playwise servers.
Quick consent text (in-app): “Playwise will record audio and convert it to text. Audio may be processed on your device or uploaded to secure servers. Allow recording?” — Allow / Deny (+ optional “Use my recordings anonymously to improve the service” toggle).
